Hi there, Got an interview with Workday. I know their policy is hybrid and 50% in office, 50% from home. Anyone know how they check you are in office, and how long you need to be in for the day to count? #hybrid #returntooffice #on-site

White male privilege is real
After everything we've seen across companies it really doesn't matter what they do now since they can and will change it on a whim. Don't join if you can't commit to 5 full days in an office.
This. Employers’ market
Or join and quit / get fired when that happens
If you don’t have integrity in your commitment and work, workday may not be a right fit for you.
You assumed the worst because they asked this question. You’re the type of person that would complain others aren’t in the office enough.
Didn’t assume anything. Workday Expectation is to be hybrid 50% and workmates to be authentic and ethical. Those who come for coffee and leave, i doubt their authenticity in life. My boss never ask me for anything but just saying that there may be companies out their who are fit for these but not in workday.
Workday has a lot of people who love being in the office and they will notice if you’re the only one on Zoom all the time.
It’s 50% in office and that’s flexible on days/times. As long as your presence is felt there’s absolutely no issues in coming in for half a day etc. We also have an annual 30 days “work from anywhere” policy
good to know thanks! is the 30 days something you have to use all at once, or can you split up the 30 days?
You can split it up. Internally a lot of people are just viewing it as WFH padding vs. actually using it to travel
They track our badges and we get a quarterly report. No one tracks how long you are there. You have flexibility to come and go as you please.
Do you badge on the way out? If not then nobody knows when you left
No badging out. Just in.
Badges in and out.
Just in not out
Hmm i badge in multiple times a day cuz i pick my kid up and drop off and come back … does that count 2? I imagine not
They check badge access, and they are pretty anal about you making it 50%. How long doesn't matter as long as your manager doesn't whine.
This first line is dependent on your org. Some push it harder than others.
I am in IPE and that definitely are pushing hard. Some people are taking it easy though, we got to see the repercussions in next coming months going into reviews.
They use badge data to check if you’re in office. 50% you’re supposed to be in the office out of the days that you’re working. So this excludes Holidays and PTO. You’ll get a report every month and quarter knowing if you hit your target. So if you’re short one month you can make up for it in the following month before end of quarter. Hope this helps.
Swing by the office in the morning, grab free breakfast and coffee, poop and leave. It'll count as in-office day 😅
Why you gotta poop in office though 🤣🤣
You made an effort to go there. Maximize your ROI by not bringing shit back home with you 😂
