First of thanks to the community that allowed me to challenge myself and start interviewing 🙏 I got the offer for P3 Application Developer from Workday (Pleasanton), would like to get review from the community Base: 145k RSU: 130k Question i have in mind: 1. Is this a good offer? Can or should i negotiate? 2. Is sign on bonus always provided or i have to ask for this? 3. Does anyone know if Workday sponsor for higher education such as MBA, if so how much? About me: 7+ years experience in Software Development TC: 150k (no stock)
Can you please share your interview experience?
Sure, Over all 5 interview including onsite. Focus is majorly on: 1. Motivation of joining the team and business in general. 2. Deep understanding of Object Orientation and UML designing. 3. Past Examples of learning new languages quickly. PS: couple of DS, Algo questions nothing too hard.
Where are you located?
Bay area
Yeah, that seems low. If you'd said Denver, Boise, or Portland I'd say it's a solid offer.
As per Workday’s standard I think this is a good offer. And I wouldn’t recommend you to join workday unless you are in a situation that you desperately need to switch. The programming language we use internally sucks, if you get into it later it might be hard to get out. If the role was in tools then you would have a better chance of working on other language’s other than the proprietary one. And the company’s growth sucks, look at the stock performance from past couple of years
For P3, that is a great offer. Besides you will receive refresher every year.
Yeah appdev uses XO. I would say join if any other org in wday. Standard P3 offer in Pleasanton. Maybe ask for 10-20k sign on You also get a company wide 50 stock units when wday meets low bar FY goals so that would be another ~11k to your comp. You won’t be reviewed in apr-May cycle so you will have to wait over a year for refreshers though
For p3 app dev great offer . Remember you will have to work with workdays proprietary stack .
What was your interview like?
Mentioned above in chat
What’s the difference between App Dev and normal Dev?
App dev uses internal UML language
Op did you get the final offer ?
