Hi A recruiter from workday called me and give an overview about this position. He said this position is call sr associates software development engineer in Financial team. This position doesn’t write Java code but use Java code. He said the company has already had Java components ready. And the salary is around 65k + others = about 80k. Where I got confused is that this role doesn’t write Java code but use Java code. It sounds like a software application engineer instead of a software engineer. Does anyone know about this position or this team? Do you recommend me to join this team? 2+Yoe,role and myself are both based in Dublin Thanks a million. #engineering #software #swe #workday
What is the required YOE for this role ?
Not mentioned in job description but I have 2+year experience
If in the financials reporting team, it's not using java
Do you know if Workday is hiring entry level developers ?
I think they are in Canada, may require 1 or 2 years of experience
100% guaranteed you’re going to use XO only. Forget Java
Thanks for your reply. If that is the case, I wonder if it is possible that I ask for more base salary. When recruiter chatted with me, he mentioned the based salary is 65k (sounds specific and fixed), I was assuming that is non-negotiable, but I didn’t ask if I can negotiate more based salary in the later stage.
how is the settlements team ? do they also purely work in XO ?
You'll likely do XO development but you can ask about whether they do work in React for front end or if you'd work on Java wrt to system integrations
What is the difference between Java wrt and system integrations in workday?
Also I wonder if it is possible that I ask for more base salary. When recruiter chatted with me, he mentioned the based salary is 65k (sounds specific and fixed), I was assuming that is non-negotiable, but I didn’t ask if I can negotiate more based salary in the later stage.
Op, how did it go?
