Workday: 230k for XO (proprietary language) app dev IBM: 190k for cloud pak work (python, kubernetes) Thinking the opportunity cost is too big with workday even though upfront pay is better Current TC: 0k 6 YoE but ~4 in mainstream tech
YOE?
What levels r those?
People call app dev career suicide but it’s exaggerated. Many people in my org have left to FAANG, startups, or other big tech companies. If you’re still looking to learn though it’s not a great place to be, but the annual refreshers are really nice and ESPP is as well. The people in my org are also really cool and we do stuff outside of work regularly.

Workday is BLEEDING clients
Don't even consider App Dev. Career Suicide
230k to fiddle around in XO and chill is crazy lol
It really is, I can see why some ppl make a career out of it. However I haven't had the best experience and want to work on actual tech stacks now. What's the reputation of app devs internally?
