Is it as bad as it sounds? Especially for game devs #activisionblizzard
Depends on the team. Certain teams had a lot more "assembly line" type work and mentality while others allowed for more experimentation. Different people look for different things. That said, the salary was universally regarded as too low when I worked there (2019~)
Off-topic, but can you shed any light on what’s happening with the MMO development project? I’m literally studying for the GMAT so that I can get a top MBA and break into either Strategic Advisory or Production at Riot with the hope of playing even a small role in the creation of the MMORPG. I saw news today that the game is still in the process of being conceptualized?
It depends on the individual, and what you are working on. Most of my friends worked at Blizzard and had no problems there, they just got a better comp/equity package elsewhere or a more exciting project to work on.
