I am soon to be laid off employee at Roku. I have secured a new job and just waiting for my severance to arrive. I am using this account instead of Roku's Blind access to avoid future tracking and impact on my severance. Every story... literally every story people discuss about Roku's culture on Blind is true to the core. This company is driven by fear and greed. Most employees are hanging in simply by praising their lords and their fatpig CEO who has no idea what innovation means? Several VPs are non-deserving and have only earned promotions because they are a yes-man to their so called C-level exec suite. A VP of engineering who is often discussed on Blind was under corporate scrutiny for his firing practices, leeching on disabled and people of color on H1b and manipulating his staff to get what he wanted. There are several other VPs out there who are now simply following the mantra of hire n fire by targeting minority group to please their lords and save their job. I feel ashamed, pathetic and disgusted to be part of such a culture. I have started seeing a therapist just to move on from this bad dream. I strongly strongly strongly recommend staying away from this pathetic company soon to be going under due to subpar leadership and unethical business practices. #tech
Some advice from someone further along in their career than you. Care less. None of it matters, it's just a job. Every company does dbag stuff, don't take it personally, don't over think it. Just care less. Good luck on the new role.
So when did you start feeling this way... before or after the layoff notice?
lol
Hey can you refer me for Roku ? Thanks
