Salesforce SMTS vs Google L4
Let's say someone successfully interviewed and joined Snapchat sometime in the next year (hypothetically before the IPO happens). Will they benefit from the IPO or will their equity/shares be devalued or less profitable because they only just recently joined? #feelingGreedy
Yea you will benefit ... But how much is different . Obviously the longer you have been there you would benefit more.
Regardless if you start before they go public you're part of that pool
Not in the short term, you'll only best 5% of your grant for the first year. You would need to stay 5 years to really benefit.
10% in the first year but yes and adding the employee lockout of day a year post ipo you'd need the stock to go up to profit. If you have capital and believe in the company easier to just buy equity.
woops, 10, thanks!
Yes - the window to get in is likely already over - ideally before May would have been the best
I have a friend starting there next Monday. I'm very happy for him. :)
If the price goes up they benefit
