Currently work as an associate dev in some business unit, unit A, making 95k. Saw some openings at another business unit, unit B and these openings are all for an intermediate to a sort of higher level intermediate dev. Now let's say I interview for the higher level roles in unit B, and eventually get selected for the role. Would I be able to negotiate a higher pay salary, let's say like 125k or would Oracle keep me at my current salary, or hardly even bump up my salary? I don't want to leave Oracle, but I hear that promotions come slow and that Oracle hardly ever bumps your pay, so I'm thinking maybe trying to get a higher level position at another business unit would be a good idea to get a pay bump.
Yeah I've heard, that's why I'm wondering if maybe moving business units and getting a more intermediate level role, would maybe be a good option? Wondering if any other Oracle employee has done something like this
I know of people changing teams internally but unsure about pay bump. Depends on role I guess. But most make more by jumping
Yeah heard the same. I don't want to leave though, I enjoy my team, the work, and the benefits are really good. I just wish my pay was higher man
Maybe you can find somewhere else with a great team, work, and benefits, along with higher pay
I've only been here for 5 months. I just think it's too early for me to leave. I have some companies in mind though.
Yeah, unless it is from a low cost Center to higher one
Mind clarifying? Not sure what that means.
Staying in the same job doing your work sadly doesn’t get promos these days. Jumping ship seems to be the best option for $$
