Asking for a friend since he refuses to download blind. He’s currently at a lower tier company- think the likes of Etsy, pandora, Wayfair etc. he didn’t want me to share the actual co. He currently makes 250k TC but got a offer from MSFT for 300k TC. Would you take this or is the bump not enough? He currently enjoys great WLB - 30hr a week.
Just take the Microsoft job and half ass it 😂

My friends from Microsoft do contract outside of their work because they have so much free time
Started multiple passive investment side hustles while working at MS. Now those are starting to pay 10-15K a month.
Hearing how good wlb is at MSFT, do they offer remote PM roles?
Depends on team. Lot more receptive to this now compared to pre-pandemic days. Probably not for someone who just joined. But definitely available for folks who they’re rather provide flexibility than risk losing.
I’ll come back in a couple years when remote is norm!
If he likes his job it’s not worth it if there’s nothing particularly appealing about the msft gig.

Depends on team. Lots of teams where you need to do 50+ hours.
I hear Sourcing is pretty brutal over at MSFT. Azure is also a nightmare
