Why Pronouns shit captured US ? I don’t see this anywhere else
Pilots also make way more
No lmao
Captains make 600k+
Work the same hours and you'll make more in tech
Who told you that lol
I already work 24/7 at AWS, how can I work more hours?
Don’t tell op how much physicians make
Barely any techies understand how much physicians earn. $900k for derm sounds right. $1.5M for nights and weekends added on. Millions more when they open their own practice
After millions in debt and years of schooling. Their SWE equivalent is a staff SWE or director
they deserve it though, big law lawyers get worked really hard. SWE is honestly pretty good since I have 2yoe and I'm making a little more than a year 3.
I'm not arguing about whether swe deserves it, but lawyers are the worst kind of people second to only politicians...
This depends heavily in region and really only applies to the US. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but from my experience in EU law is a significantly less challenging educational track and career. A lot of law students here are notorious for their partying and when starting their career they are not faced with completely unknown and unsolved problems from day one like tech workers are. Law is a comfortable career if you are not faced with the stress of US legal system.
Its a painful job. You rather be dragged on concrete for a mile than practice law for a year. This is also first job to be disrupted by AI. I would rather be shot in the head than be forced to practice law.
That's ok I'd rather keep my soul
ChatGPT: “All your lawyer salaries are belong to me.”
Not impressed
Still less than an L5 SWE 😅
But they’re solving real world problems Rajesh
Will companies pay more than 550k for L5
