Hi, I received an offer for a full time position and received a verbal offer from the director. However, he mentioned that I’ll only get a written offer when I make a decision about joining the company. What’s the advantage of having a written offer?
Actually that's not true. Having recently had offers compete from FB GOOG you don't need a written offer. Recruiters believe in the numbers you tell them. That might depend on the company though.
Maybe he just doesn't want to go through the hassle of approving an offer of you haven't made up your mind yet.
They usually dont give written offers until you agree to sign.
