I am not sure how Netflix reported good quarter. Barely any decent show came up. Most of them are in other languages.

Other language folks also pay for subscriptions

Exactly the problem is not pricing its content

Randomly reminds me of a guy from my school who cheated his way through, barely passed, and is now an eng manager there. This was prolly just the fault of the marketing folks though.

Marketing isn't the department to blame for this.

Cool story. Now if you could make Jira load a little bit faster, that would be great.

Jira can be faster… if it moved away from primitive Weblogic servers

Some titles can't be played with ads for contractual reasons

Atlassian ibn yasin OP Feb 1

Ok i’d switch to no ads but then pricing is double??? I think Netflix doesn’t realize how many people aren’t really engaged but still pay because its $7. At $15 i start to realize i don’t even use Netflix that much and i need to cancel subscription

Yeah the ads supported plan is meant to provide and option for people that don't want to pay the full price, also for those that can't (including in developing countries). It is a shame that not all content works, maybe that will improve as new contracts are negotiated, idk
