Just like Elon proved twitter had too many employees not doing anything, IG @ Meta is doing the same thing. They just shadow ban based off automated rules and have 0 customer service or ability to act on accounts. Buncha lazy folks coasting and not recovering accounts.
Yeah man IG is a total shyt show. Meta bought it and screwed it royally.
How so? From a UX perspective? Financially,, it’s been great. Didn’t Facebook buy them to help compete with a competitor? They also bought it for about a billion and it had probably returned to Meta many times that amount in profit.
Lol. That was so long ago and diff product; it's irrelevant. Like saying i haven't liked movies since Edison got involved
Oh yay. People who don’t know how social media works trying to make business decisions Instagram is meant to sell you things. You aren’t the client you are the product. Advertisers are the clients and when they encounter issues they get assisted. Your eyeballs and clicks are the only thing that is important. Features are meant to get your eyeballs to spend more time on instagram.
IG has a larger feature set and wider user base then Twitter. So can’t compare the two. With the recent layoffs I think they are much leaner now
All the people at instagram are meant to make sure you get the ads so personalized to you that you get creeped out a bit. Twitter had ads but they were always more general. Like a billboard not like IG where you genuinely worry about what they know.
Yea but with that you get targeted and more personalized ads and reels rather then some generalizing junk which you are not into. So when it comes to UX I think personalization and recommendation is better. How I differentiate the two now is Twitter is a place to express negative emotions whereas IG is to express positive emotions
Which policy did you violate?
They won’t tell me. Google says shadow ban lasts 2-4 weeks?
There's no such thing as shadow banning and they do tell you. You don't have to tell us but always fun to hear
IG doesn’t feel like it’s changed in so long. It used to always have a constant stream of new features and updates. Snapchat is still pumping cool features like their AI bot, but IG has nothing
The AI bot is dumb. Maybe throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks is a terrible idea and an app doing what it’s good for well is the best option. The Snapchat experience is meh.
Idk if you notice but there recommendations and personalization has improved, I think reels have gotten better. Better monetization opportunities for creators
😮 says the guy working at OfferUp.
Lmao have Elon come in and reduce its value by 60% like he did with twitter. Then beg for advertisers to come back and fail to host a 300k person livestream
Ya they suck. Banned my account for some false positive bot detection or something. After like 30+ emails back and forth I gave up ever getting it back.
That’s my point. It’s all automated and they don’t check or have a way of reaching out.
Worst part is I lost all the pictures and connections with people from college and stuff that I don't talk to much anymore but still had that social media connection with.
Ok OfferUp. Idk what Zuck is waiting for. Call him up and sketch out the plan,
Elon should buy insta next. Get it all cleaned up.
💯
Why don’t you twat that to him? I’m sure he’ll totally be excited to take that on.
