Blind has made me

For US citizens Personally can see either side - on one hand I’ve learned about just how complicated the system is. On the other, I’ve seen a lot of scary attitudes + entitlement. 375 + paper #misc #immigration

You should realize many sane people would’ve left Blind by now. The posts in general are more toxic than any other social media. Do what you think’s right. But Blind doesn’t represent outside world. It’s much more fake than Insta and TikTok

A lot of people want US citizenship or green card. Some just HAPPENED to be born here. Others happened to be born in Canada or European countries without long queues. Others happen to have family members who sponsored them. I don’t know the details, because I’m a dumb US born American who never had to worry about it. But I do understand that many others not in the above groups face a LONG path to the coveted US citizenship, while all I had to do to earn my citizenship was be lucky. Let’s not pretend that other countries’ citizenships are equal. The US is a highly desirable destination because it pays better than anywhere else. I see comments on blind along the lines of “the US doesn’t owe you anything, you can work in your home country”from US citizens towards immigrants. As a citizen myself, I HATE this “fk you I got mine” attitude from those that won’t admit they had it easier. It’s pathetic.

Thank you for the empathy. After reading the above, one can clearly say that you are anything but a 'dumb US born American'.

Most of the US doesn’t owe you anything comments come from Indians towards other Indians. They hate that other Indians are here because of how the Uscis keeps greencard numbers per country cap.
