Hi guys, I got a confirmation from recruiter 2 weeks ago that Unity is interested in hiring me but haven't received the offer yet. Is this situation common at Unity to get delayed response from recruiters? @ Unity #unitytechnologies
I just interviewed someone an hour ago, so no freeze
I went deep in process and they moved the role to Austin (last fall), so definitely seemed sloppy...
Have not seen this as a common thing. Could be an issue with just that recruiter or manager or the current situation. Lots of things going on after all. I would just ask them again. Unity definitely has no freeze and has lots of hiring going on.
I interviewed yesterday.... not sure if freeze is department specific...
Their stock price just went up I think
Sorry OP thats probably not a good sign. Unity tries to close offers quickly (basically one of the only tools they have to get talent because TC and promo are not competitive). I have some contacts with the UK operation (assuming your Recruiter is based in Brighton?) - let me know if you want me to ask about hiring.
@OP: did you get any feedback/result/update? I had my virtual onsite followed up by one more round with head of bizops. Not sure how much time unity takes to finalize the results and let candidates know. Any idea?
@en99 what are you interviewing for? The team culture there is quite different depending on the team. Careful with their marketing org
Usually they’re just interviewing the rest of the candidates, but ideally your recruiter would keep you posted roughly on timelines
Yeah they just forget to follow up until you remind them 3x
thanks.Followed up twice but no response yet, Let me try another time. Also the recruiter is from different time zone(UK) which is widening the communication gap
That's unusual for an SF role... So maybe they are handing off to someone here that might lead to a delay. Which dept, if you don't mind? Else DM if you don't feel comfortable sharing here
