Latest(Feb 2023) "Interview Kickstart" Review Please
"Interview Kickstart" is charging $9k for their program. Before spending such a whopping(at least for me, as of now) amount I want to take the latest feedback/recent experiences of “Interview Kickstart” from my beloved community. There are many threads about “Interview Kickstart” and many of those discussions look stale. I am preparing for a backend engineering role. Is their content/program still competent enough to crack FAANG++ interviews in 2023 (and 2024 in case my search goes beyond due to current economic conditions) I heard/inferred the below points so far – There won’t be Omkar Deshpande live classes – They hide many of Omkar’s recorded classes – Their curriculum/structure is not enhanced over the years – Their 1:1 coaching is tricky – Design classes are not as solid as Omkar’s Algorithm classes – Their course structure provides a way for lazy people who can’t make a solid plan and execute – There are better alternatives to "Interview Kickstart" – Could someone summarize better alternatives? -- Founders oversell themselves So is this program worth $9k? Any guidance for cracking FAANG++ is much appreciated. $9000??? Are you nuts? You can get most interview prep content off youtube for free + cost of a few exercises and books. And then pay for a couple of $200 mock interviews on like prep fully or whatever. (Or just hit up former coworkers on LinkedIn for mocks). Way more efficient use of money.

Spend your money on LC Premium. Pick the top questions for the company that you're interviewing. Work on different topic cards. Ask friends/coworkers to mock for you or pay someone. Watch discussion on YouTube with adblock. Paying 9k is crazy.

Yes if Omkar’s videos are taken out of the course it is not even worth $500. I wish they could sell his videos alone rest everything is not worth it. Just packaging of business people. IK value is just Omkar nothing else

Soham why do you have you and Ryan as founders with so many overlapping skills ? Your other founder Ryan has no tech background and both you and Ryan are just marketing and operations people. At least you have some tech background. It would be better if someone like Omkar is the founder with you and the face of IK given his importance to IK. Remember IK is just Omkar plus marketing and ops he is the product and you are selling him . That will be a better way to understand IK
