I have around 1 year of experience and I have been interviewed for walmart software engineer position recently. I have been asked to code for 2 questions. I did solve them. After solving them technical recruiter asked me to optimise the code but I didn’t do it. What are the chances of getting selected to next round?
Nobody knows
It’s all depends on interviewer. I have seen candidates getting to next round even after performing poorly. And very skilled candidates getting rejected. So it’s all depends on who is gate keeper. Also if you did well and still didn’t get chance. Just go to next company and be grateful that don’t have to work with someone who is not able to appreciate or analyze your performance properly.
Thanks :)
If I asked two medium or easy level leetcode I'd expect you to solve with optimized code. The competition is so crazy that candidates these days are able to solve hard level questions with optimized code. It's very hard as an interviewer for me to judge and rate candidates these days. Get good and give interviews, solve more leetcode, you'll get there
How does walmart find candidates then. I mean fine with FAANG but walmart is third tier in term of candidates choices.
