Meta E6 offer.
I've been using Xfinity for years and in the past few months I've been barely exceeding 100Gb. However this month (September) I got an alert that I've used 50% of my cap in less than two weeks. I've heard people hit the same issue recently and I wonder what can be done. I turned off my router yesterday and the counter just kept going up. Is that a known thing? Can anyone from Comcast please explain what happens and how to resolve it?
Same thing happened to me this month! Usually around ~300gb/month and this month it was 1300. My SO and I have been wracking our brains trying to figure out what we had done but couldn’t think of anything. Nor did we see any suspicious devices in the device list
Someone is stealing your Wi-Fi. Is the password password?
But how? The router is switched off and I changed my Xfinity password as well as enabled 2FA
Then you know the answer to your question. Would you be surprised if xfinity misreported your traffic usage to charge you more or throttle the traffic?
Setup a Linux based router and monitor where all your traffic is going.
There's no traffic, the modem is not powered
Call their customer support? /s
What's there max cap limit? Does it stop serving after you hit the limit?
1Tb. Then $10 for each 50Gb up to $200
Oh fuck, do you drink that much data?
Check uverse. had multiple issues with Comcast and switched recently.. working good so far
Bahahaha is this real? What year is this!?
Switch to literally any other provider.
Someone may be using xfinitywifi access points with your login? That service is just begging to be abused ..
Your SO is watching porn.
