Hi all, I see a lot companies are sold with no code, less code , config frameworks , like mulesoft, apigee, unqork, why do you think an architect chooses these over regular frameworks, please don't tell me they are plug and play , they also have steep learning curve. Any other benefits ? Would you ever recommend / use it ? I feel using it may benefit org but developer is going to go down in drain sticking to a proprietary software which may not exist in future.
No developer being forced to leave full stack and work on mulesoft for promotion :/
These tools help avoid a lot of brunt work so developers can focus on doing things that add true value
What about code maintenance, understanding where the call were made from in the flow and again learning curve for complex operations, time waste in configuring if statements using choices..
Effective tools provide sufficient governance, minimize need for maintenance through reuse/refactoring capabilities, and mobilizes learning curve. It obviously will require some amount of learning curve (though substantially lower than coding). Also following appropriate development practices as an organization is key.
