I heard that Cimpress is famous for hiring and firing rule ? And is there any volatility in the company? These days they are hiring like mad although their business is in loss since 2 year and stock is also soars by 50% in past 2 years.
No hiring firing culture. The work environment is really positive. My team members have been in the company for 3-4 years and I have not seen a single person getting fired. The business is aset business much better than most startups which depend on funding. There were some losses due to pandemic but they didn't even fire a single employee in the entire pandemic.
I’m an engineer in the US but work with engineers in India. Our engineering teams in India are very good. I have never heard of us being famous for “hiring and firing” but we do have a high bar for our engineers. If you are motivated I think it’s a great opportunity because you will be working with talented coworkers. The company numbers did take a COVID hit last year but things are quite good now and there are a lot of initiatives that need more engineers. Only firings I know of are for individual performance and not company performance.
