Can someone explain to me what non-technical program managers at Google actually do? Made it through all the interviews and still honestly don’t know TC: 165
I've been in a PMM role for six months and I still don't know. My boss doesn't know either.
Do you work with them frequently? Do they seem like glorified project managers?
lol
What was your offer? I’m currently interviewing for the same
190 tc in year one in non-SF/NYC location. Do you feel like you have a solid understanding of what the role entails?
What level is this for L4? And not really lol, I know high level it’s basically helping making things less chaotic. You bring order to the chaos for whatever programs you’re assigned by putting in processes and owning programs
Can you please tell about your interview experience and level at google.
OP - I’m struggling to get a call from Google. I have been an ‘IT Program Manager’ at non-tech for 8 years, still no luck. Would you be willing to go over my resume and provide any feedback ?(curious to know whether there is something obvious that I’m missing)

😅 I mean they explained the job at a high level but I’m trying to figure out how much of it is project management, busy work, and herding cats versus doing interesting stuff
At google I think it is all about project mgmt and herding cats… Congrats btw
