I'm currently trying to evaluate two offers: Pinterest L4: Base: $175k RSU: $350k Bonus: $40k TC: $300k McKesson P4: Base: $200k Bonus: 20% ($40k) Bonus: $10k McKesson is a lot more stable (number 7 on the stock market with ~70k employees) with a significantly higher base. Pinterest seems more fun, but the base being so low worries me in addition to the stock price being in a constant decline since 2021. I've also never taken an RSU offer before. I calculated if Pinterest stock drops 50%, then the compensation will be basically equal. I'm also trying to evaluate career growth and both places seem pretty similar, with Pinterest maybe having a slight edge? Any thoughts? #pinterest #offer #ds #mckesson #tech
Is Pinterest hiring? Have been trying to get on a call with any recruiter but no replies on LinkedIn.
Pretty aggressive from what I heard. Did you try just applying that’s what I did
Yes, but it seems to be certain teams.
How was the interview with Pinterest?
It was great! The hiring manager interviews were all vastly different (some were completely informal while others were super rigorous). The regular topics were the standard that are given at tech companies.
What's your YOE?
2 years post PhD. Worked full-time as a Data Scientist throughout 5 years of PhD though, but realizing now that position was pretty bad on skill development.
How were the rounds at McKesson? A recruiter reached out saying they are building a new DS Oncology team at McKesson.
There is also a post of layoff at McKesson in May'22, be careful

Take Pinterest. Better company more pay and Pinterest seems stable
Stable even with the stock price and all?
