Walmart Labs culture
@walmartlabs folks I read many negative reviews about culture at Walmart labs. But most of them are one year old or even older. But I don't see new negative comments. Has the culture changed recently? Do you guys advise to work there now? How is WLB? More specifically, I am asking about data science teams at Sunnyvale office. #workplace #officelife #culture #walmartlabs

Avoid walmart if possible. Idiotic place to work for. If manager is not good book of your, ur life will become hell. Even he will stop your raise and put in pip. In a company good manager is more important than work.
DONT JOIN WALMART IF YOU HAVE OTHER OFFER. Walmart is one of the shittiest company to work for. They will lie to you while talking about the compensation. Read your comp related doc carefully. This is what happened to my friend: they told them that the total comp is $X per year including stock bonus. What they did not mention is that the stock will be granted after 1 year. which means the stock will vest over 5 years instead of 4 years like other places. They also lowball every single offer. Everyone in this company lies to everyone else. Numbers being reported in meetings are false and even if you report it to management they don't care.
I completely agree! Upper management sucks! They dont seem to care to ameliorate their engineering culture either! I proposed something to streamline the process, manager got defensive and didnt even care to consider at least!! Fuck walmart!
