and very profitable. Many have repeatedly posted same question and just think yahoo is dying or already dead.😂 So I write this for ref link. - Most visited website TOP5 in US TOP10 in Worldwide https://www.similarweb.com/top-sites/united-states/ - Revenue Believe it or not, revenue has been growing again 2022 8.xB (new peak) ...? 2020 7.1B ...? 2016 5.1B 2015 4.9B ... 2008 7.2B (previous peak) https://www.axios.com/2022/11/29/yahoo-eyes-stock-trading-amid-growth-push https://www.statista.com/statistics/266253/yahoos-annual-gaap-revenue/ - # of Employee / TC around 10k worldwide / 🥜🤫 But 100% remote + great WLB It is true that Google has taken over the search market but Yahoo is not just search engine. Yahoo News, Sports, Finance and Mail retain huge numbers of users with a few workers and nut TC. And non public. This is why Yahoo is super stable even during this recession.
How much does yahoo pay for sde 2
170-190k all cash
Oof that’s it? Why so low if they make 8b revenue?
yahoo jp is a pretty big competitor with google for search in japan, though they’re actually technically a different entity from main yahoo.
Yahoo Japan is a completely different company than yahoo inc. They used to pay some annual fee for the rights to use the brand name, but last year they bought permanent rights. So now, even this little business connection between the companies doesn't exist. Kind of like Java and JavaScript :)
What is the current number of employees?
Less than 10,000 AFAIK
Precursor to every tech company in ten years
I’m moving to yahoo from gmail. Thanks for eye opening post.
