Figured I'd make a post for this, as one does not currently exist. I'm just grabbing software engineer salary data that I found from the official job postings on Yahoo's website, and posting them by level here. The level is not listed on the posting, so I inferred it based on the job description and experience required. I'm not completely sure if the last range is for IC6 or IC7, so I assumed. I've only seen one posting where the salary range diverges a bit from what is listed here. If anything seems horribly off, let me know and I'll fix it. Intern: 45k - 135k IC1: 58k - 136k [Associate Software Engineer] IC2: 79k - 168k [Interim Software Engineer] IC3: 97k - 210k [Software Engineer] IC4: 117k - 243k [Senior Software Engineer] IC5: 130k - 272k [Principal Software Engineer] IC6: 151k - 313k [Senior Principal Software Engineer] For reference, this is the exact text from an IC3 job posting: "The compensation for this position ranges from $97,500.00 - $210,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program." So there's a bonus and some kind of stock option as well (although Yahoo is currently a private company). These salary ranges are obviously incredibly wide, so if any Yahoo employees can add any information here, such as typical offers for any level, it would be very much appreciated. TC information from Blind and levels.fyi are all over the place, so it's somewhat difficult to get a ballpark estimate. Just as a sample, I've seen multiple 200k+ TCs for IC3 on Blind (although levels.fyi provides lower data on average), and the most recent IC4 post claims a 280k TC offer. Anyway, I hope this post helps somebody out there. Best of luck to those of you on the job hunt right now. #yahoo
Who the f uses yahoo?
LOL, always a comment like this on every Yahoo post. I suspect Yahoo has more users than you think, but ultimately, who cares? It's a company that's actively hiring and pays money. A lot of people are unemployed right now, and that's all they need. Hence, this post.
Fair point. But I still wonder who and why are they using yahoo.

Yahoo had potential but Marisa Meyers threw it down the drain with her SJW beliefs. Yahoo News and comments was so popular, it could have been like Twitter. But the clown Meyer’s ego was so high, she closed comments and didn’t promote “smack talk” culture because she didn’t want republicans to speak bad against leftist ideology. Get woke, go broke.
Pot calling the kettle black google lol
I’m just an engineer, I don’t set the direction of the company.
