Curious about this. Saw a posting that was yahoo corporate strategy manager. Glassdoor says tc would be 170. Maybe 185 in this market. However the it required 5 years of banking exp. An analyst makes almost makes that much currently (yes I know less). But you ge try point. Who would take that job after 5 years of busting their ass?
I mean there’s probably a stock component associated with it. But yeah it’s tough to make the transition after you busted you ass for 5 years. At some point tho, you have to decide do you want to keep working hard. IB doesn’t really get easier in my eyes…there’s always some kind of stress
I wonder the same thing when I see posts like that. iB associates are making 350+ all in so I tend to wonder why anyone would move for 170..
9-5. You dont need to cycle through four wives, you can make it work with the first one. Your kids don’t have daddy issues. It’s a choice, but that’s Why I left IB for Corp dev

That's a wishlist. You end up negotiating upwards. They anchored the number super low.
So whats your TC after 5 years at SMBC?
That's what I want to know. Japanese salaries are _garbage_.
IB people shouldn’t expect to make more or same post Ib career. They should expect a better wlb
Very true
It's Yahoo bro
