Hello! I received an offer from Google Cloud for Staff (T6) Customer Engineer - 100K equity/year; 165K base; 30% (of base) sales plan (this 30% is variable, based on sales goals). Location is Houston. (FYI - Cost of living wise Austin > Houston > Dallas) Unfortunately, I don't know if this is a good offer or if I need to negotiate on any of these numbers. Thoughts? Thank you!
Oh yea, sorry about that it's 400K for 4 years. 100K/year. I'll edit my post.
That rivals Bay Area comp. if you can stand living in Houston it’s great.
$300k in Houston will make you live like a king 🤴
@SpLQ73 - thanks! But wow, really that's Bay Area comp for Staff engineer? I read on Blind that it was over 500k. Yea, but I've no idea, that's why I posted :-)
That’s for SWE. Not all roles
@Piggy. Thanks! No I'm sure the pay is more than sufficient. I just want to make sure I'm being valued correctly in the market, I'm so tired of being taken advantage of by corporations (granted I wasn't being smart either).
It is a great offer
Thank you, yp. Appreciated.
Does Google have the same TC band for all US locations or only for internal transfer?
@xEon51. I've no idea. But my guess, it won't be the same across all locations.
Is that $400k / yr in stocks?
