Real talk: in what way private schools are better than public in nyc?
What are some companies that have good WLB and fully remote jobs? TC doesn’t need to be high, around 100k is fine So far I came up with Home Depot, Trimble, Auto Desk, Yahoo, Raytheon, FedEx
Amex. You’ll get 100K+ for sure. Job security is also high. They usually don’t usually layoff lower levels, VP and Directors are usually gone first so it’s easy to know if your team is in the chopping block. Though you might be switching teams due to reorgs if your leadership sucks.
How’s wlb? Do you have restrictions on trading?
WLB is excellent, tons of PTO and Sick Days, plus you can buy 5 extra PTO days a year that you get paid back in December if you don’t use. Company has no RTO, and CEO openly talks about he won’t force us back. No restrictions on trading.
vmw, at least until AVGO fucks everything up but hiring freeze
Fortinet, I get 150k CAD TC in Canada after 2-3 YOE, excellent WLB
Seems good but they don’t allow full remote right?
Depends on manager, I go once a week to work
HubSpot
Pay is much higher than 100k but isn’t the most competitive tbh. They might be making adjustments soon
Too bad they’re not hiring junior swe
Capgemini
Can you help me with a referral? I’m ok with contract role as well
I got canned last month unfortunately otherwise I would have!
Upwork
Yahoo
At Microsoft many teams will let you do full remote and the WLB is a coast in many teams. TC is lower than FAANG but higher than many.
True that’s a big one. I just assumed they aren’t hiring right now
