Hey does anyone know what an associate new grad engineer can expect to make at Southwest Airlines jn DFW? I know southwest just spent close to a billion dollars revamping there tech division but can’t get any solid numbers on salaries. TC 94 YOE 0
Been a while since I saw a non 6 figure TC here on Blind. 94 is pretty good for DFW and 0 yoe
Currently at AT&T in NY/NJ areas. I’m asking what I can expect Southwest to pay in the DFW area
69-75k
Base: 65-72 401k match: 9.3% (vested after 5 yrs) With cash bonus and annual salary increas, TC in year 1 is probably ~75-80. Depending on how much you use flight benefits, you could increase that number even more if you want. Also, you are eligible for profitsharing if you're an employee on Jan 1, so if you start in December then that TC goes up to ~85-90
I heard profitsharing but not cash bonus, is it for all developers?
Cash bonus is for every employee and is a percentage of your salary (less if you started in the middle of the year) and profitsharing is for all employees who started before Jan 1st
5 years ago it was 65-72k starting, went down to 60k about 3-2 years ago. Since then I haven't kept up with associates salary
A bit late to the party - year 1 TC is probably 75-80, assuming you’re in in time for profit sharing which has been 10%+ of your salary the last few years. Again depending on flight benefit usage - it’s a big perk
Data science/analyst will get you over 100k at swa
Is anyone still working in southwest?
