'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
Resigned in last few days: - Bret Taylor (co-CEO) - Mark Nelson (CEO, Tableau) - Stewart Butterfield (CEO, Slack) - Tamar Yehoshua (CPO, Slack) - Jonathan Prince (SVP, Marketing/Comms) Give us some gossip?
They're about to lay people off due to weak earnings
But Q3 earnings were good. 14 percent increase in revenue.
@Amazon have you seen their P/E
Maybe they all earned enough to retire and wanted to give others chance to be c level execs
Of course
They had the best intentions for us 🥹
Sure. Rumor is that there will be mass layoffs announced in dec 12th. On the all hands on Monday, Marc hinted there would be another all hands in 2 weeks. Salesforce has been focusing on increasing profit margins, so layoffs are fairly likely anyway. UPDATE: a mysterious town hall has been silently added to employees’ calendars on dec 13 with the head of people operations joining.
Liar!! When did Marc hint that? There is not going to be any layoff during Christmas. May be sometime next year. Stop spreading rumors.
Where’s your salesforce account bro? Also, his name is spelled “Marc”
Can we stop acting like losing Jonathan Prince was noteworthy lol. Guy did nothing.
Work at salesforce. Bret leaving is a bummer. May be even good… can’t say for sure. Marc always ran the show.. so nothing changing there. As far as acquisition CEOs leaving, it happens everywhere. They leave for their next venture. It has nothing to do with current economic conditions or salesforce growth. Company has strong financials, but can’t please Wall Street :). Layoffs need to happen, May be sometime next year. Marc is an empathetic leader, great salesman and he is a visionary. I really believe we are poised for growth.
Really? With that bloated P/E ratio? How much more should it be
We have a lot of overseas business, when local currency to dollar value changes.. it impacts earnings. P/E is only half of the story. But that doesn’t mean we are not growing. We had impressive growth even during recession. That’s why I said, it won’t please Wall Street, so yes- will do layoffs to please them.
Pressure to become profitable. Meaning layoffs and less innovation. Salesforce going to go the way of oracle. Large and stable but not innovative.
Become ? Aren't they already ?
Sales force doesn’t innovate, it acquires and tries to integrate. Just ask Stuart
Salesforce customers are enterprise customers who are locked in for years of contract. So there is stability there. But Salesforce also over hired during pandemic
Who?
Can I get a refferal at Salesforce?
Also, Veeva announced today they are moving off the Salesforce platform and not renewing contract.
How big of a customer is Veeva? We still have other big customers right?
Can I get a refferal at Salesforce?
Precursor to layoffs Was slack really worth so much?
Yes it is.. it will drive the salesforce engine way further. Many don’t get the point, but it is.
