Uber drivers keep telling me that Uber is taking more than 25% commission fee these days, is it true??
drivers that say this have a fundamental misunderstanding of their situation. driver pay for a given ride has nothing to do with what the passenger pays - and it never has. we do take 25% commission from the amount that the drivers earn. this amount is calculated based on time and distance, set on a per-market basis.
What about tips? Does tip amount go to driver or Uber/Lyft take cuts out of it too?
Could be up to 30% or so. I don't remember the numbers. Don't think they will dare go above 30%. So it depends on when the driver signed up, etc.
Not 30%
No one reads before signing
The driver told me the other day that he drives 10 hours a day for 30days and he can only earn 1000 dollars..?
Can this be even possible??
Since this is public forum, care to remove a few sentences which may not be obvious public info? Esp your first point?
I’ll just leave this here. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-05-19/uber-s-future-may-rely-on-predicting-how-much-you-re-willing-to-pay
Uber takes ten cents
Ha ha ha
For every gas dollar? Oh yeah!
