How do you think U.S. will react if Russia bombs U.S. embassy. If you are not aware, attack on embassy equates to direct attack on the country since the patch of land on which the embassy sites on belongs to that country, not the host. Lets not confluate the facts, Israel did not attack Syria. Israel attacked Iranian embassy directly. How did you missed out on this factual point?

Iran has been waging proxy wars on Israel for years via Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations. Israel targeted a high ranking military official directly involved with these operations in a surgically precise military operation. How is that unreasonable?
