Impossible to watch without premium or ad block. It’s literally snap discover. It wasn’t this way few years ago. At this point, I believe YouTube is pushing a ton of ads to make me buy premium. TC - 150K
Here is the pattern that I have observed, before trial the ads were bearable. I opted for trial for three months then my life is hell with adds.
But you also would’ve mentally acclimatised to no ads as well right?
I remember there used to only one add before a Video, now Atleast 2 with one being mandatory. Then video overlays and inbetween numbers also have increased a lot. I missed this years countdown because of a fuxking ass add that I couldn’t skip. I have created another id and using on a virgin device and the add aggressiveness is slow there.
Use Brave browser that removes ads and allows to download and listen video in background.
I watch most of my YT vids on my TV which is a pain. I ended up just getting a family membership and getting all of my close family on it.
Pi hole the entire house network
Firefox + uBlock Origin does the trick
Bros never heard of a mobile
Firefox has ublock on mobile too now. Privacy badger + ublock + AdBlock works like a charm on mobile
Just pay bro

Fuck no, vanced it is
Get brave app, you would miss the native YouTube app initially but would get used to it. The ad-less experience is worth it.
Only watch YouTube on Apple TV
Don’t u get ads on YouTube for Apple TV?
But browser is capped at 720p on mobile Use vanced app if on Android.
I use premium. more than worth the $12/mo
lol sheep
It comes with YT music , which is just as good Spotify / Apple Music. 100% worth the 11.99
The ads are unbearable. Looong video ads if you don't skip, banner ads, side ads. And then there are ads by content producers themselves. Seriously, why do they bother with those 5 minutes ads? Thank god for ad blockers.
You even get ads at the end of the video lmao.
eh... thankful for youtube's skippable ads @ 4 seconds, compared to facebook's loooong minimum of 15-second ads, squeezing in another that can be skipped. also, i can tolerate banner ads that can be closed immediately.
