Please help me review this job offer that I received verbally today for a mid-senior level Product Manager (remote - working from SF Bay Area) Am I being lowballed? Where and what should I negotiate? YOE: 3 years Team structure: reporting directly to the analytics manager at the company, and will need to work with 400+ analysts and data scientists ALSO: I’m trying to negotiate to get at least $150k base and 60k in stocks (RSU). Please lmk if that sounds realistic!
Seems a little low for a mid level pm but please share more details so people can give a better opinion. YOE? Team structure?
Thank you! 3 YOE, it’s a PM role that will be supporting the analytics and data science team at Toast
Looks like a decent offer, especially in this market!
This is deffo early level role so looks good imo. Stock has a lot of upside. They are not going to budge from $25k to $60K in any possible scenario. Senior PMs do not get that at Toast, so impossible at your level.
Good for L4ish level PM - not good for senior PM
Don’t join this dumpster fire of a company
Decent for remote. Not great for Bay Area
If you have a comparable offer vs. Toast, I would not recommend coming here. The ship is sinking and the crew is slowly jumping ship. Also where is the number of 400+ analysts/DS coming from? Recognize that being in SF there is a recommended RTO of 1 day a week soon.
Well, I'm looking for toast referrals on remote position in Bay Area. Isn't it good?
Yoe?
Total 3 YOE in product management
It’s not bad but not great. Based on levels fyi it’s about what others are getting even with more exp. You seem young so you can definitely get by with that comp. Depends on what you want. Toast will help on your resume, but depends if you like your current work situation and where you live.
