Bajaj Allianz Travel insurance for parents

My parents are traveling to US for 1.5-2 months. They are in their 50s and have Diabetes. Since they will carry their regular Diabetes medication, I was evaluating if it’s necessary to buy insurance from US (INF elite or equivalent) to cover pre-existing conditions. The premium amounts for $100K coverage are drastically different $70 vs $1150. If anyone has experienced medical claim with Bajaj Allianz travel insurance, please share.

No. I would not. In the event of serious illness just get treated at emergency room and don’t pay 💰 the bill.

And you have done this before? If it was sarcasm, it didn’t go well. Nevermind thanks for your help 😉

I haven’t. But millions of people do this every year. Illegal immigrants. Poorer Americans. I worked for a medical billing company waaay back and was shocked at 250k, 500k bills being just written off. You can’t plan on this for yourself since you have income and assets. But your parents won’t have, here in the USA and you are definitely not liable for their medical expenses. This is not India where they ask money upfront before heart surgery. In the event of heart attack you will be treated. Not sarcasm. It’s the real deal. Take it or leave it.
