Hi everyone. I just finished an interview with Cruise and might receive an offer soon. I'm wondering about the company's stock policy. I checked and saw that they announced a halt to GM buybacks starting from last November. I'm not sure if this policy has changed since then. Is joining now a good opportunity? Is there much risk involved? It's L6 offer staff software Engineer TC:450K YoE 7
Afaik they stopped issuing RSU and instead just pay you a ton of cash. Ie the stock RSU component is replaced with Cash. Probably a bit Netflix like.
Thank you for sharing that. If that is the case that is not bad
Whats the offer ?
What was the interview process?
RSUs are gone, all cash now.
Interesting. I can't seem to find more info on this. Like what amount to expect for a staff software engineer position like OP said.
It heavily depends on the team/role. For AI/ML role, around 800k - 1M cash.
Yes all cash now just got confirm from recruiter
What’s your offer
We don’t have one anymore. You just get cash (salary, bonus, and quarterly cash).
Just found out there is no sign on bonus, is that just me or that is general in cruise? That's surprise to me
