Why is Modi spewing so much hate on Muslims to win elections?
Any information on PDT Partners? It seems like they attract strong talent and the salaries on h1b visa are pretty high (~170k base) for developer positions. I assume they pay bonuses too since they're a prop shop.
One of the elite prop trading firms. They have been around for a much longer time compared to more well known names. Their returns have been phenomenal too , since like 1995. They were part of Morgan Stanley for a long time and then branched off separately some 7-8 years ago. Pretty elite, have great talent, from what I have heard the recruitment process isn’t as smooth as HRT, JS, though in the end one of the best prop trading firms to work at. You won’t hear as much about them since they’re pretty secretive. Unlike HRT, Citadel, JS, 2S, Jump and even Tower, they don’t hire SWE’s at the entry level that much and a bulk of their SWE hires are mostly folks with 5+ yoe.
Pretty much this. Worked with someone who went to work for them - he was brilliant.
How do you know all this?
Pretty secretive yet the recruiter asked what do I know about PDT first on screen, it was funny. I read somewhere on glassdoor that they prevented people from updating linkedin for a while. Also be aware of high ratings of some places as they make you sign non disparaging agreement to scare away people from posting bad reviews and retain high artificial scores.
170k is high? Oracle even gives 180k
Well 170k is just the base salary. Most hedge funds give a yearly bonus comparable to the base (ex: Two Sigma new grad is 150k base + 50k bonus)
I guess you have not heard a word called revolving door company
