Burning waste including plastic on roads

I live in Bangalore and quite often I see Muncipal workers and watch men burning waste containing plastic. This is quite frequent near HAL old airport road. Surprisingly I see garbage being burnt in ASC building too which is a government building. Burning plastic releases toxic gases, heavy metals, and particles into the air, including dioxins, which are highly toxic and can cause cancer, damage the immune system, and interfere with hormones. Other emissions include: Greenhouse gases Carcinogens like lead, mercury, furans Fine particulate matter Carbon monoxide Nitrogen oxides Arsenic Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) Is it because people don’t care or we don’t have enough man power to monitor the laws. Burning plastic is already illegal which means lawmakers made it to a law but police aren’t enforcing it.
