I accepted an offer from Qualcomm, but I got a better offer from another company and position/career growth. How bad would it look to renege on Qualcomm? Will I get blacklisted? TC: 135k YOE: 2 #hardware #semiconductor #qualcomm
Maybe but who cares, Q sucks anyway.
Not that I disagree on your take but wild coming from intel💀
So i shouldn't have an opinion because i work at intel? Lol when i talk to Qualcomm employees, not a single one says anything good about the company. For most other companies i hear mixed reactions atleast. Infact Q's reputation is so bad that people have warned me check if the new HM came from Qualcomm and avoid them to avoid that culture.
Not at all. This is what they deserve. Qualcomm is the suckiest company that produced the most toxic culture in chip industry and develops the jerky politicians who later ruin other companies by building their own exclusive empire.
this
100% true
That's what any company deserves for shit offers.
Yes blacklisted but who cares... the company will not exist in next decade.
There is no blacklist at Qualcomm. I reneged their offer 2 years ago for a senior engineer position. Last year I reneged their offer again for a staff engineer position. I still get interview calls from qcom HMs on linkedin. So you’re good op…
So you accepted offer and then did not join ?
Yes. Funny enough, the second recruiter knew that I reneged the first offer less than a year ago… they do keep track of that in their system
No one wants to join Qualcomm. There is no black listing as such…
How’d you get an offer btw? I received an offer 2 years back right after BS, turned it down to do my MS, but have not gotten any callbacks even when applying with referrals now.
Nope Its business,. Do it Are you willing to walk away if qcom does not match
