Companies doing the most for humankind

I’d like to lead with this isn’t a shitpost, working somewhere that actively benefits my community/the world is incredibly important to me. As a result, I feel a lot of conflict working at a number of the largest companies and even some from companies that provide neutral services (like Databricks, etc). Anyone care to share companies they know of that positively impact the world, whether through the environment, efficient farming, helping the disadvantaged, etc? So far all I can think of is Google X, but that’s a bit of a long shot lol. Tc 275 Yoe 2 (Not a Johnson controls anymore)

Non-profits might be your best bet. Or you can also start one - pets needing a forever home is huge, but there aren’t as many well-designed solutions for that.

Why not think about “homeless needing a forever home”. There aren’t as many well designed solutions for that as well.

That too! Quite a lot of problems that needs solving. Or maybe BnBs for homeless that’s crowdfunded.

Microsoft has a program that helps teach high school kids from not too well to do communities abd get them at good places. Engineers from difference companies volunteer here.
