Recently checked out the job listings on change.org as I admire their mission and wouldn't mind working there. Found a position that looks interesting, but when I read the job description it made me laugh. They claim that they wanted to move quickly in the process, but clearly they don't understand what "quickly" means: Recruiter Screen (60 min) - why does a recruiter need 60 minutes to screen someone? Hiring Manager Interview (60 min) - probably fair Take-home skills assessment (2 hours) - deal breaker here - assessments don't work. Virtual Onsite (3 hours total): Panel presentation (30 min) + Q&A (30 min) - red flag here. you want what?! Stakeholder interview 1:1 (60 min) - probably fair Stakeholder interview 1:1 (60 min) - probably fair Executive Interview (30 min) - why isn't this one 60 minutes? References - do companies check references nowadays? If this is tl;dr - they need to cut this process down -- get rid of the asinine assessment and potentially dump the presentation. Neither one really helps in the process and it's only going to alienate people who are truly qualified for the role. Just saying... Offer
Talk to the recruiter before you turn it down, sometimes all of those steps aren’t necessary for every position
I suspect everything is required
I used to work there. Not worth your time, it's a complete shitshow. I don't recommend anyone to work there these days.
