Is it worth 2k ? https://dataexpert.io/ #tech #dataengineer #data
Is this an ad?
Definitely no
Never , no data engineering course is worth 2k, in this age of information paying 2k is excessive. I am a data engineer with 15 years of experience, I need to learn new things every 6 month or so now ( I am talking serious learning ) , last week I was working on CDK , this week I am working with Java. Better learn from open course materials, create a list of things you want to learn and read every day, do hands-on practice, build something, have a laptop with only Linux.
Thx. Any good list for topics to ace or excel in interviews or jobs ? With 15 yoe are you not peer pressured to go management route ?
Any good up to date DE materials? Most everything is the the same spark/flink remixes
Dude just posted failing OpenAi interview. Ask him to sell for free.
I follow him, he honestly seems like of outdated. Says a lot of controversial things and I believe certain companies pay him to shill their product.
Wonder how he got Meta, Netflix, AirBnb jobs
It’s not But people are paying for it
Probably not. I would focus on python to process data (pandas, reading and writing data from apis to s3 buckets). I would also focus on sql and working with data modern data warehouses like snowflake. Check out this guy for interesting content: https://vutr.substack.com/
No. Don't trust the tech course gurus
Whom to trust then ?
Self-learning is best. If you can find a low-stakes DE project at your current job, jump on it and learn on the fly. If you can't, find a personal project that can get you hands on experience
