Yep it's a shitshow for us
I do think start looking is a good idea. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on how this change at Zendesk can affect immigration?
Assuming you are talking about employment based green card, it depends on a lot of details of the acquisition (that employees probably won't be able to know until the deal is closed). Details like whether the old business entity will be here to stay or be gone, whether you will stay an employee of Zendesk or they plan to transition you to a new business entity. All of these will decide whether you existing petitions/applications can continue or need to restart from ground zero.
Iām just starting my green card process with Zendesk. So everything H1B petition everything could need to be transferred? Oh man!
Better to start looking out....PE firms just need profit and not worried abt employees
I doubt this. As everyone(including me, you, PE/non-PE) needs profit/growth and employees is one the pillars to make growth/profit for a company and otherwise also
Profit based on employee firing is what PE guys knows , you and me will first see how we can reduce cost by reducing software cost and other unnecessary waste
Whatever happened to Zenchair?
More work, less pay, more attrition, possibly layoffs. At best nothing changes.
Is it possible they do salary cuts?
Probably not tbh, just less benefits, bonuses, stuff like that. Iād start looking. Again literally the best thing that happens is nothing changes. If you want to stay on definitely try to get as much info as possible about this guy and what heās done in the past and what heās saying now.
