Uber sssss Feb 9, 2017

Long time coming...I can't believe they had 1000 employees still. Wtf.

Workday Gilfoyle Feb 9, 2017

They prided themselves on being the fastest growing SaaS start up ever. Seems quite the opposite now.

whatever goes up that fast has to come down that fast as well

Uber vOAP40 Feb 9, 2017

that bugged me the most about the uber orientation. "hyper growth", etc. i couldn't help but make the association with cancer. things seemseem to have slowed of late, finally.

Damn bro really zenefits?

Zenefits jTrN75 Feb 9, 2017

A lot of great people did a lot of manual work to keep up the pace. Eventually a lot of that great work automated them out of a job. It's sad to see so many committed, hardworking people go. You all probably know what it's like. The hubris of prior management is a given, but not really a reflection of the people doing the work. Tech news is much like entertainment news, people love to hear about a giant being brought down, or an underdog winning a battle. We've definitely been through the ringer, both fairly and unfairly. But at the end of the day, there are a lot of dedicated people who want to perfect a service that can be of great value. A huge layoff like this sucks, but the truth is we would really be fucked without doing it. So to answer the question, not yet. And to speak to the stairwell issue, come on. I've never been anywhere where there wasn't a story or ten of somebody hooking up at work. There happened to be evidence of shenanigans here one time, and though it couldn't be proven it was our employees, the office manager sent out a warning. Which of course turned into tabloid fodder. Clutch the pearls!

Amazon luc Feb 9, 2017

How couldn't it be proven it wasn't your employees? What kind of security do you have to entertain the possibility that it might have been random hobos fucking on the stairs?

Oracle goose Feb 10, 2017

Other tech companies work in the same building as them in soma

Uber support Feb 9, 2017

If you do ops or sells at a fast growing tech company, your future is shaky.

Uber Viking Feb 10, 2017

Ops like Uber?

Microsoft O366 Feb 11, 2017

What?
