Zillow comp package
It looks pretty low from glassdoor, but people still think it as a great company. Why? Is glassdoor data obsolete? It says 112k - 205k, with median 146k for senior SDE.

I went to hacker X in Zillow and asked the recruiter about the comp and she admitted it is slightly lower than Microsoft for the same level, but the work life balance is better.
May not be true for some teams. Data science, ML, and core search engineering teams are paying decent. It's all about hiring managers and org leaders. However, I heard Microsoft is paying more aggressively now.
Might be better if you are a ms old timer...But commute could kill the work life if you are east side
As a new hired senior SDE, the comp is pretty decent. I'm getting around 220k total compensation.
how about refreshers and cash bonus ?

how lvl FB or Goog eng job sr sde at Zillow compare to? comp obviously too low for E5
Glassdoor data is super obsolete an outdated .. Dont rely on it
