Why does Zoom still exist as a product? It's terrible
It’s soooooo bad. Our company got it rather than just use free google meets zero idea why
My last company was even more stupid. They had MS Teams for free for 99% of meetings but the ceo held all hands meetings via zoom 💀
Thoughts of pushing more attrition. Who knows what they're even doing. They did close some offices a while back because of lack of usage.
Zoom should not exist. There is google meet which is free or cheap(in most cars) and much better
Yes its true. Likely to avoid layoffs Zoomies are expected to return to office despite signing up as a Remote-Hybrid-In Office worker for those residing near HQs within 50 miles! No consideration for commute time of 2 hours each way if in East Bay/SF/Other areas!! Thats 4 hpurs commuting.
Zoom RTO is the one that makes the least sense to me. If there’s one company anywhere that has a vested interest in making remote work succeed, it’s Zoom. What’s next? Will Oracle instruct employees to stop using relational databases because they’re less suited for modern uses? Will Microsoft ban employees from using Word and Excel because the software is so bloated? You gotta make the workplace succeed while using your own product, or at least pretend like it does.
To tell other companies that you should still buy Zoom subscription even if u RTO
