Zoom vs Yahoo
Hi Blinds, I am currently working as a data Analyst. I recently received two offers. Zoom - Service-monitor support engineer @ 25LPA including rsu Yahoo - Data Analyst - @15lpa Current CTC - 12lpa YOE - 4 Wanted to know WLB at zoom? Is it a role worth switching as it a support role. Mainly concerned about WLB, future growth at Zoom as role is completely different. Also being in support role usually require on-call with team and job description says Operational support and Analytical support. #zoom #yahoo #tech #support #operations #dataanalyst #techsupport
I would recommend you to go to Yahoo, your CTC looks less in Zoom but the advantage you've as a data analyst is huge. It'll be a great impact in your carrier and next switch will have you a great learning curve and a best CTC.. All the best!
Zoom ! No brainer
Yeah even my focus area is towards zoom. However my concern is the that role is completely different from my current role and it is much more support oriented. However CTC including rsu's is pretty good in zoom.
Ask them to name the role - โSite reliability engineerโ I think zoom has a flat structure ZP1-6 . They do not have any specific title. When you have to switch after zoom , you can create your own story reg roles and responsibility and leet code
Although Zoom is giving you a good hike, going into support roles is a big call. You might get stuck there and find it tough to move out. And yahoo is giving too little hike for you to shift. Iโd say just interview more and get a role as data analyst at some other company with a higher pay.
