Can’t help but imagine how much these folks would have made by now with the exponential stock appreciation. I’m assuming anyone who joined in 2020 has at least $1 mill to their name (and more to come) Have very little motivation to do hard-work when folks are making all these Benjamins with no effort at nvidia. ☹️ tc 320K

True I joined Nvidia as EM / senior Em in 2022 September when stock was 122. I was offered 300 base and 280-300 k Stocks per year. With gods grace and luck my TC has reached 1.5-1.6 million including espp. I will work for 5 years and retire.

People don't remember all the years we were eating financial 💩 to seed the market on GPU compute, ray tracing, AI, etc. When GM was 30% because we paid for features for the future that very few were using at the time. We were giving away compute that cost us billions in R&D and COGS effectively for free trying to seed the market. People show up for the celebration and think it was all luck.
I think he was just talking about individual salaries and not the overall company strategy.

A more considerate answer: I am just happy for them. A lot worked and still work hard. You are at Apple, which for its size is still an amazingly good stock. Remember your why: personally, didn’t get into Tech for money but for the opportunity to do something cool that can scale…We’ll all be rich given enough time and savings. Some get there faster that’s all
