Pluralsight lowball
Got a call for Sr data product manager, machine learning role at Pluralsight The recruiter told the base is 110k + standard company benefits 100% remote I told my Tc 225, Yoe 7, I'm expecting 300k. Then they disconnected the call stating its not possible Does Pluralsight pay so low ? Or the recruiter just lowballed me ? #pluralsight
Pluralsight is a tech recruit/training company. They like to partner up a lot with staffing agencies to train candidates and hella lowball ppl. Just move on!
Lowballing is what we do. Even referrals get low offers. Pay is more or less set like everyone lives in rural Utah even for remotes in California. FWIW we dogfood hard on self-taught and bootcampers for roles. Lots of great people from really interesting backgrounds. The company is a real ramp for breaking into tech. But the pay component is almost predatory for people coming from that background.
