Interviewing at a startup and they are about to announce a huge >$100M Series A funding round. I know startups are always a gamble on wlb and volatility, as well as the equity being worthless for a few years (if ever). But what does that huge of a Series A imply for the success in general? Typically Series A rounds are an order of magnitude smaller #equity #startup #seriesa
If they're a gen AI startup, expect a lot of that to be allocated to hardware and model training costs
Which industry they are in, depends a lot on it as well
Doesn't matter which series Startup will always f**k you at the end Don't join
it’s means they are late to the party on a hype bubble and are likely to fail
Look at the founder's past and who are the investors. Do due diligence. Scammers keep scamming, toxic VC keep being toxic
